LMT Support Group Resumes Meetings:
Physiology and Strategies for Neuroplastic Pain
Join your fellow LMT’s for an evening of connecting, sharing and learning from the comforts of your home.
This month’s presenter will be Lexi Alberts, LICSW, talking about the psychology of pain—how the brain can create very real pain in the body, even after an injury has healed, or in the absence of any injury at all. Participants will learn about neuroplastic pain and gain a few practical tips for supporting clients who may experience it. Lexi will introduce us to the concepts of Pain Reprocessing Therapy, an evidence-based treatment for chronic pain that serves as a powerful complement to massage therapy.
Lexi Alberts is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and a certified Pain Reprocessing Therapy provider serving clients across Washington State. Before entering private practice, Lexi spent more than 10 years working in social services, supporting the survival and mental health needs of unhoused survivors of violence. With a background in trauma therapy, she now uses her clinical expertise to help people living with chronic pain find lasting relief.
