ADVOCATE FOR MASSAGE THERAPY AS A RECOGNIZED & RESPECTED HEALTHCARE PROFESSION
Many of us are working in isolation. Even in clinics with multiple practitioners, schedules often leave little room to connect with other therapists. The WSMTA’s Clinical Practices Program offers monthly support group meetings designed to bridge that gap.
What You Can Expect: These 90-minute Zoom sessions happen on the 1st Monday of each month from 7:00–8:30pm. Each meeting includes a pre-determined topic relevant to the massage therapy profession in Washington State, followed by open time for questions and discussion.
Whether you're navigating a tricky situation in your practice, needing clarity on a regulation, or just craving connection—you’ll find a supportive community here.
Expect space to inform, discuss, vent, problem-solve, and grow—together.
About The Topic: In this one-hour presentation, we’ll explore the osteopathic foundations of visceral and cranial work, with a focus on how these gentle, respectful approaches help uncover and support the body’s inherent health. We’ll trace the lineage from A.T. Still’s original principles through to contemporary applications in bodywork, touching on key concepts like adaptability, listening, and the art of non-invasive presence. Whether you’re new to these modalities or already incorporating them into your practice, this talk is designed to enrich your perspective and connect the dots between structure, function, and deep healing. I’ll leave plenty of space for discussion, and I’m looking forward to your questions and insights!
