ADVOCATE FOR MASSAGE THERAPY AS A RECOGNIZED & RESPECTED HEALTHCARE PROFESSION
Many of us are working in isolation. Even in clinics with multiple practitioners, schedules usually leave little opportunity to connect with other therapists. WSMTA’s Clinical Practices Program offers monthly meetings to inform, discuss, vent, problem solve, and support each other. Meetings will happen on Zoom on the 1st Monday of each month, from 7 to 8:30pm.
Topic: Government Relations and Municipal Codes Affecting Massage
Guest Speaker: Marybeth Berney, LMT, WSMTA President
Event Details: Marybeth Berney, WSMTA President, will bring her expertise of the regulatory arena to the July LMT Support Group. She will have a brief presentation on some recent and upcoming legislation that you may be unaware of that will/does affect massage therapists. She will also provide information on the work that the WSMTA Government Relations team is currently engaged in with municipal codes. Bring your questions, concerns, and ideas for a robust conversation.
Meetings are open to members, and non-members. Depending on topics, CE credits will be available for free to WSMTA members. Non-members may join WSMTA to receive free credit as well.
Zoom link will be sent with registration confirmation.
